Retailers, suppliers, manufacturers and distributors from across the industry can now put themselves in the running for the 2019 cycle of the IER Awards, the most prestigious awards event in the electrical retailing sector.
The Awards are designed to champion and celebrate the very best from within the sector and acknowledge a diverse array of achievements – from the stand-out independent retailers of domestic appliances and the top technical innovations for consumer electronics, through to outstanding levels of customer service and the optimum online presence.
Launched for the first time in 1993, the IER Awards are an unmissable annual event on the industry calendar, with a coveted accolade acting as a stamp of approval that’s respected across the IER sector. Entering the Awards is, therefore, the ultimate opportunity to ensure brand recognition and boost your company’s profile among an influential and highly targeted audience.
It’s easier than ever to enter
As usual, the awards for 2019 are split into two separate groups – Retailer Awards and Manufacturer/Supplier Awards – and to reflect the diversity of this sector, there is a vast range of categories to enter within each. Entries will then be assessed on their merits by a team of experts in their respective fields. The judges will decide on the winners of the Retailer Awards categories, while the top five entries from within each Manufacturer/Supplier group will become finalists and progress through to a final voting stage.
What has changed, however, is that we’ve made it simpler than ever before to enter the IER Awards and ascertain that the achievements of your business get industry-wide recognition.
We’ve launched a brand new, easier-to-navigate IER Awards website, where all entries can be made online quickly and simply, using a form which conveniently enables you to save your progress and complete your entry submission at a later date. The improved website contains thorough information on each awards category, so you can be sure that your company is in with the best chance of coming away with a prestigious win.
For the 2019 edition of the IER Awards, manufacturers also have the option of enhancing their product entries and showcasing them to top retailers via our online platform. For just a small cost (£100 for a single product image or £79 each for multiple entries), you can have an image of your product displayed on both the voting form and the website gallery – ensuring the highest level of exposure for your innovative designs. What to expect
The 2019 IER Awards will follow the previous year’s revised format, which proved highly successful and was well-received by the sector. Networking is a vital part of any industry event and the IER Awards is no exception, having been re-designed to ensure that attendees can benefit from ample time and opportunity to build their business connections.
Commencing at 10am, the event is set to kick off with an engaging products and services demonstration that will incorporate a number of table top stands from leading manufacturers within the sector. Proceedings will then continue with an exclusive drinks reception at 12.30pm, followed by a luncheon with wine and, of course, the much-anticipated Awards presentations themselves.
