The Hoover H-WASH 500 is Hoover’s most technologically-advanced laundry collection ever launched.
With more than 110 years of Hoover know-how, the brand has developed the H-WASH 500 to meet the demands of modern living by harnessing the power of technology.
The H-WASH 500 HWB 414AMC is built with the modern family in mind, with a 14kg drum capable of washing more than 70 shirts in one load. Put simply, it’s the largest domestic washing capacity on the market.
This smart washing machine has WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity and works with Alexa and Google Home — so it can be controlled from anywhere in the house; perfect for busy working families.
Operational features and consumer benefits
The H-WASH collection is Hoover’s first complete range compatible with the Red Dot Award-winning hOn app. A platform created by Hoover’s parent company and IoT (internet of things) trailblazer, Haier Europe, it enables constant and remote access to the washer in order to maximise its capabilities and performance.
One such key feature is the innovative Scan to Care function. This enables users to upload photographs of garments and their care labels to a ‘virtual wardrobe’ stored in their hOn app — with the machine using this to recommend the best cycle.
There are more than 40 specialist cycles in the hOn app too and users can save their favourites. A clever ‘click to wash’ function provides cycle recommendations: simply take a photo of the washing pile in front of the machine though the hOn app and the machine will do the rest!
In addition to providing detergent tracking and tips to optimise washing and reduce waste, the hOn app provides efficiency statistics, real-time consumption figures and maintenance updates and tips, enabling users to get the absolute best wash possible from the HWB 414AMC.
The H-WASH 500 is voice controlled and includes other smart tech, such as an ability to check the weather forecast and advise on the best time to wash.
And the tech doesn’t stop there. The H-WASH 500 boasts top of the range engineering features. It benefits from a new generation, brushless Eco-Power Inverter Motor, which enhances cleaning action by up to 60 per cent and is four times more durable than a traditional motor.
Also built into the HWB 414AMC is Active Balance — a performance-enhancing system that optimises spin cycles, allowing more time for washing with reduced vibration.
What’s more, the H-WASH 500 is an ultimate performer, delivering top quality washes time and again. Its Active Care feature delivers a direct injection of detergent straight into the drum, for maximum stain penetration, and the hOn app includes over 50 in-built tips for maximum performance. It has an energy rating of A+++*.
Complete with multiple quick wash options, an economy programme, high temperature hygiene washes and stain level adjustment, the HWB 414AMC alters cycle lengths depending on the wash intensity required — with the capacity to wash a full, mixed load in 59 minutes.
And, as you’d expect from a market leader like Hoover, the H-WASH 500 looks the part, too. Complete with monochromatic style and tactile controls, it features a high-positioned, wide porthole for easier loading and unloading. It is also available in white, graphite and black, with a modern LED text display.
Product successes
H-Wash 500 range launched in September 2020 and is the most innovative range of products launched by Hoover. The range encompasses key technologies- including large capacity and Caredose.
Since the launch the range has sold over 20k units, and is expected to sell close to 75k units in 2021.
