In light of the Coronavirus outbreak, Datateam Business Media is monitoring the ongoing situation very closely.
As the organisers of the IER Awards, we are incredibly proud to have served the electrical retailing industry for over 28 years by providing a platform for the recognition of excellence. In a time of great uncertainty for many businesses, we feel it is our duty to do what we can to minimise the impact on the sector and now more than ever, we believe it is essential that we continue our longstanding tradition of honouring the hard work and efforts of everyone involved in the industry.
With that being said, the safety and well-being of our attendees, staff and their communities will always be our number one priority so we will continue to assess the situation and any decision to reschedule this year’s IER Awards will be based on the latest guidance issued by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and any restrictions put in place by the UK government.
The IER Awards team have been hard at work the past few months, planning and organising an unforgettable celebration of industry excellence. We would like to assure everyone that is involved in the scheme (and those considering getting involved in the awards) that any time and money invested will not lose its value should the event be rescheduled. All of our sponsors will continue to receive exposure as a supporter of a vital industry initiative and any tickets purchased for the event will be honoured in the case that the event is rescheduled.
We are all facing unprecedented challenges and when we get through these tough times, it will be more important than ever before for everyone in the electrical retailing sector to come together to re-establish business relationships and forge new connections – not to mention celebrate what has been overcome. From the entire team, we look forward to providing a platform for the whole industry to reconnect and reflect on our collective successes at the IER Awards 2020.
